As the situation around the 2019 Novel Coronavirus (COVID-19) continues to develop, we have noticed an enormous impact on our communities and our way of life. Our thoughts are with all of those in our community who have been affected by this virus, and we send our wishes for a speedy recovery to all those who are sick. And we would like to extend our gratitude to the selfless healthcare workers who are on the front lines working tirelessly to care for people in need.

Homeowners, contractors, and other businesses depend on us for urgent needs such as cleaning supplies, electrical and plumbing repair items, and everyday necessities like propane and batteries. WBC is committed to keeping our stores open and available to the community during times of crisis and natural disaster.

Western Building Center and Johnson Madison are dedicated to maintaining a safe and healthy environment for our friends and associates. Our stores and facilities are cleaned and sanitized daily as part of our normal practice. Following guidance from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), we’re increasing the frequency of cleaning and general hygiene maintenance in our stores and warehouses. We’re also stepping up our efforts to disinfect high-traffic and “high-touch” areas like countertops, door handles, and bathrooms. We’ve advised all of our employees to follow everyday preventive actions including washing hands often, regularly disinfecting frequently touched objects, and carrying hand sanitizer.

Many items we stock are in increased demand at this time, and we are working with our distributors to replenish and restock these items as quickly as possible. Your local store may place a purchase limit on high-demand items such as facemasks and respirators.

As things move forward, we will keep you updated as to any changes that need to be made. We realize these are uncertain times, but rest assured that WBC and Johnson Madison are fully committed to ensuring the health, safety, and well-being of our employees and communities.

As always, feel free to contact us if you have any questions.

Thank you,

Mark Anderson
