Western Building Center in Polson is seeking a leader who is responsible for the supervision and coordination of yard personnel activities engaged in loading, unloading, storing, transferring, and distributing lumber and various other building materials. This full-time lumber yard foreman position will give you the opportunity to hone your leadership skills and your knowledge of the lumber and building material business while providing our customers with the best customer available. Applicants will need to have a thorough understanding of delivery dispatch and logistics. Lumberyard experience is a must. Job Requirements:
  • Supervise all yard operations for safety, quality, and efficiency.
  • Responsible for loading, unloading and movement of material on the premises utilizing material handling equipment and machinery; oversees receiving of yard materials.
  • Inspects loading operations for outgoing delivery to ensure compliance with shipping specifications, load limits and safety regulations.

WBC Building Components in Columbia Falls is seeking an outgoing person who takes pride in accuracy and excellent customer service. This full-time, all-seasons driving position will give you the opportunity to hone your knowledge of the lumber business while providing our customers with the best customer service in the state! Class A CDL required, and a clean driving record is a must. Occasional heavy lifting will be required, so applicants should be able to lift 80 pounds. PURPOSE 
Transport goods from our storage yard to customer locations. 
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
  1. load building components (eg. roof trusses and wall panels) and transport to customer locations
  2. Perform inspections before and after delivery
  3. Unload building materials from trailer at job site locations
  4. Plan and pace own work efficiency in order to meet daily, weekly, project, or team related productivity goals. may require long shifts with paid overtime
  5. Maintain logs of vehicle repair status
  6. Understand and observe all safety procedures and practices in order to prevent injury to self or co-workers; attends periodic safety meetings as required; may recommend changes to improve safety procedures.
  7. Other duties may be assigned

  • Knowledge of company products sufficient to determine appropriate applications

  • Ability to work independently
  • Ability to read customer orders and follow safety regulations

As a representative for Western Building Center you will sell products and services offered by the company to current and new clientele. You will also continue to improve and strengthen customer relationships both in person and over the phone. Duties/Responsibilities:
  • Builds and maintains a network of sources from which to identify new sales leads.
  • Communicates with customers and leads to identify and understand their product or service needs; identifies and suggests products and services to meet those needs.
  • Demonstrates the functions and utility of products or services to customers based on their needs.
