Western Building Center:  Contractor Sales    Position Summary: WBC is looking for an experienced Contractor Salesman to assist in the sales experience of our customers.   Their focus will be on selling products or services to construction contractors and builders.  Responsibilities typically include generating leads, building relationships, quoting materials, processing orders, and providing excellent customer service.  This role also involves understanding construction plans, providing technical advice, and staying up-to-date on industry trends.     Responsibilities:

Western Building Center:  CDL Delivery Driver / Lumberyard Assistant

Position Summary: This full-time, all-seasons driving position will give you the opportunity to hone your knowledge of the lumber business while providing our customers with the best customer service in the state!  In this role, you will be transporting goods from the retail lumberyard to the customers location.   Position Expectations:
  • Assisting customers with their purchases in our lumberyards and at their place of delivery. 
  • Inspecting all orders before they are sent out to make sure they are correct. 
  • Unloading building materials that arrive on stock trucks. 
  • Load building materials by using knowledge of products, inventory, and materials handling to ensure loads are safely built and loaded on trucks.  
  • Maintaining a clean and organized lumberyard.  
  • Plan and pace own work efficiency in order to meet daily, weekly, project, or team related productivity goals. 
  • Keep accurate records of maintenance logs of vehicle repairs and statuses.  
  • Understand and observe all safety procedures and practices in order to prevent injury to self, co-workers, or customers.  
  • Attend monthly safety meetings as required.  
  • Safely operating heavy equipment, hand tools, and power tools.  
  Position Requirements:  
  • Knowledge of company products sufficient to determine appropriate applications. 
  • Proficient customer service and communication skills. 
  • Ability to read the customer’s order and fill it accordingly. 
  • Must be able to adhere to all of our safety regulations.
  • Able to pass all the requirements for our insurance carrier to be added to our fleet of drivers. 
  • Clean driving record and a valid driver's license. 
  • Class A or B CDL.
  • Pass a pre-employment drug test.
