• Unloading building materials that arrive on stock trucks. 
• Load building materials by using knowledge of products, inventory, and materials handling to ensure loads are safely built and loaded on trucks.  
• Maintaining a clean and organized lumberyard.  
• Plan and pace own work efficiency in order to meet daily, weekly, project, or team related productivity goals. 
• Keep accurate records of maintenance logs of vehicle repairs and statuses.  
• Understand and observe all safety procedures and practices in order to prevent injury to self, co-workers, or customers.  
• Attend monthly safety meetings as required.  
• Safely operating heavy equipment, hand tools, and power tools.  

  Position Requirements:  

• Knowledge of company products sufficient to determine appropriate applications. 
• Proficient customer service and communication skills. 
• Ability to read the customer’s order and fill it accordingly. 
• Must be able to adhere to all of our safety regulations.
• Able to pass all the requirements for our insurance carrier to be added to our fleet of drivers. 
• Clean driving record and a valid drivers license. 
• Pass a pre-employment drug test.

Lead Mechanic / Shop Supervisor Western Building Center Corporate Yard Western Building Center is looking for an experienced mechanic with a supervisory background who has a strong work ethic and knows the importance of having a good attention to detail. This individual will be working with our mechanics and body shop technicians with the maintenance and repair of our company vehicles. They will be responsible for repairs and maintenance projects being completed in a timely manner as well up to all industry standards. Position Responsibilities: Instructs, directs and supervises the activities of workshop employees.
